2nd Annual Labor Day Doggy Dip
Monday, September 6th from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM
There was such an overwhelming response last year that we teamed up with the Humane Society this year.
$10.00 per dog in advance
$15.00 per dog day of event
Two sessions this year: Small dog (under 30 pounds) from 4-5:30 PM and Open Session 5:45-8:00 PM (Open to small and large dogs)

This incredible FUN-D-RAISER party is by invitation only.

Your ticket to the event is the purchase of a T-shirt.
Pre-event cost of T-Shirt is $15.00 and $20.00 the day of the event.
The Friends of Dormont Pool does not receive any money through drink sales.

Party of the year!
The Party of the year was held on August 8th, 2009!
Special guest Rick Sebak from Pittsburgh's own WQED was on hand to support Dormont's historic landmark pool!

Annual Public Meeting
The last Friends of Dormont Pool Annual Public Meeting was held Monday, May 11, 2009 at the Dormont Public Library at 7:00 PM.
The library is located at 2950 W Liberty Ave, Dormont PA 15216.
The 3rd Annual Dormont Pub Tour
Saturday, April 25th, 2009
All 12 local venues in Dormont participated this year!
T-shirts were sold to support the Dormont Pool at a cost of $15.00
We raise funds from the sale of T-Shirts, not on beverage sales.
We are still selling T-shirts from this event!
We do not get any money through drink sales.
Friends don't let friends drive drunk, but peer pressure for T-shirt sales should be encouraged.
If you would like to support the pool, buy a T-shirt.
There are a few XX-Large and Large that are left, and there are plenty of Smalls and Mediums, but the X-Larges are sold out (sorry you were too late)!

We want to thank everyone at Wilson-McGinley Distrtributing / Miller Lite Wholesaler of Pittsburgh, our field rep Shane and also I & M Printing who put together the graphics and printed the shirts.
Our 3rd Annual Friends of Dormont Pool Saint Patrick's Day Party was held Saturday, March 14th, 2009
It was held at the Dormont Recreation Center (above the Dormont Pool) at a cost of $15.00 per ticket or two tickets for $25.00
This was another successful fund raising event for the pool which offered food, beer, door prizes, a Chinese Auction and a DJ for your musical pleasure.
Thanks to your past support a check check for $50,000.00 was presented to Dormont Borough!

Our first Scavenger Hunt was held
Saturday, October 18th, 2008
This was a Dormont Themed Scavenger Hunt with a start and finish line at the VFW, located on West Liberty Avenue, Dormont, PA.
Teams consisted of 2 to 8 people at a cost of $10.00 per entry, children 12 and under were free.
The family fun activity included solving riddles and collecting items and pictures of Dormont landmarks.
All proceeds benefit the Dormont Pool.
First Place Team: Princess & Ducks with 1,880 points
Second Place Team: The Scavengers with 1,770 points
A special thanks to the Dormont VFW for their continued support!
The Friends of Dormont Pool would also like to thank our local gourmet hot dog shop Dormont Dogs, Banksville Beer and Mexi-Casa for supporting the Scavenger Hunt.
The weather was wonderful and all participants had a magnificent time gathering clues. McGruff the Crime Fighting Dog even made an appearance!

2008 2nd Annual Steelers Tickets Drawing
Raffle tickets were drawn Monday, Sept 1st at the Dormont Pool.
1st place: Two club box tickets on opening day, Sunday, Sept 7th vs the Texans
Winner: J. Newton, Fort Mill, South Carolina
2nd place: Two regular tickets to a regular season game.

3rd place: Steelers Gift Basket.

Cost was $20.00 per ticket or 2 for $30.00
Also on Labor Day - Pool admission was free and the proceeds of hamburger and hot dog sales went to help fund the pool.
